On August 31, 2021, Sacoya Devin Cooper vanished from her home in North Columbus, Ohio, leaving behind a family desperate for answers and an ongoing law enforcement investigation.

The 33-year-old Black transgender woman stepped out that evening to go to a nearby corner convenience store and never returned. In the weeks that followed, investigators discovered her black 2009 Ford Fusion abandoned on the city's west side, fitted with stolen license plates. Given the abrupt nature of her disappearance and the state of her recovered vehicle, the Columbus Division of Police and the FBI strongly suspect foul play.

Sacoya is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds. At the time she went missing, her hair was styled in long, black "lemonade braids," and she was wearing a striped dress paired with Baby Phat sandals. She can also be identified by a distinct scar on her left eyebrow, as well as tattoos on her thighs that read "Sacoya" and "Go Get the $." A reward of up to $10,000 remains available for any information that helps investigators determine what happened to her.
