Kalie Goodwin

Kalie Goodwin was 29 years old when she disappeared from Baytown, Texas, on April 21, 2024. Although she has never been found, investigators now believe she is deceased, and the case has evolved from a missing person investigation into a suspected homicide. Despite significant developments, Kalie's remains have not been recovered, and authorities continue to seek information that could help locate her and establish exactly what happened.

Kalie was last seen at approximately 7:00 p.m. leaving an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Decker Drive in Baytown. Investigators say she voluntarily got into a vehicle with an unidentified man. Shortly after her disappearance, Kalie's mother reported receiving a telephone call from an unknown individual demanding money through Cash App, raising immediate concerns about her daughter's safety.

During the investigation, detectives identified the vehicle Kalie entered. According to investigators, the vehicle was registered to a woman who told authorities that her boyfriend, Quan Flowers, was using the vehicle. Police also determined that the Cash App account connected to the ransom demand belonged to the vehicle's registered owner. Investigators later located the vehicle in the area where Kalie was last seen.

On June 1, 2024, the Houston Police Department arrested Flowers in an unrelated homicide investigation involving the death of Megan Rouse, a 24-year-old woman whose body was later found along a roadside. During that investigation, detectives reported discovering evidence that they believe indicates Kalie Goodwin was assaulted and removed from the residence where Flowers was arrested.

As the investigation progressed, a Harris County grand jury indicted Quan Flowers on charges of aggravated kidnapping in connection with Kalie's disappearance. Prosecutors have stated that the indictment supports the ongoing investigation while authorities continue gathering evidence for potential murder charges. Investigators have not publicly disclosed how Flowers and Kalie knew one another, nor have they explained any connection between Kalie's disappearance and the homicide of Megan Rouse.

Although authorities believe Kalie is deceased, her body has not been found, and the investigation remains active. Detectives continue to ask the public for information that may help locate her remains and provide answers to her family.
