William "Ryan" Goodwin
William Edward “Ryan” Goodwin was 33 years old when he disappeared from Ragley, Louisiana, in Jefferson Davis Parish, on June 28, 2018. Ryan was an Army veteran, and his disappearance remains unsolved.
Ryan was last seen in the 5700 block of Topsy Bell Road in Ragley, Louisiana, on June 28, 2018. After that day, he was never heard from again. According to investigators, his family did not immediately realize he was missing because they had not been in contact with him for an extended period of time. Authorities became involved in November 2018 while investigating a separate reported theft, when they learned that Ryan’s family had not heard from him since June.
During the investigation, some of Ryan’s personal belongings, including his wallet, debit card, and driver’s license, were located in a shed in the 9200 block of U.S. Highway 190 East. Investigators have not publicly released additional details about why those belongings were found there or what they may indicate about Ryan’s disappearance.
In 2019, an individual contacted Ryan’s family through social media claiming that Ryan had been killed by two acquaintances and provided names of people they said were involved. That information has not been publicly verified, and investigators have not announced any arrests or confirmed suspects in connection with Ryan’s disappearance.
Ryan is described as a White male who was approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighed between 175 and 200 pounds. He had blond hair and green or hazel eyes. At the time he disappeared, he had a short beard. Ryan has several distinguishing features, including an oval-shaped scar on his lower back from a previous injury and stitches that had come undone. He also has a tattoo reading “GOODWIN” in Old English-style lettering on his upper right arm and a tribal band tattoo with the initials “RG” on his upper left arm.
Ryan’s disappearance has been classified as an endangered missing person case. His military service has also been noted in missing veteran databases. Despite years passing since he was last seen, Ryan has never been located, and his case remains open.
