Lina Sardar Khil

Lina Sardar Khil was three years old when she disappeared from the Villas Del Cabo apartment complex in northwest San Antonio, Texas, on December 20, 2021. Her disappearance remains one of the most heavily investigated missing child cases in recent Texas history.

According to investigators, Lina had recently moved to the United States with her family after leaving Afghanistan. On the afternoon of December 20, Lina was playing at the playground inside the apartment complex in the vicinity of the 9400 block of Fredericksburg Road while her mother briefly returned to their nearby apartment. When she went back outside a short time later, Lina was gone.

Lina was last seen wearing a black jacket, a red dress, and black shoes. She has brown eyes, straight shoulder-length brown hair, stood approximately 4 feet tall, and weighed about 55 pounds at the time of her disappearance.

San Antonio Police immediately launched an extensive search involving local, state, and federal agencies.

The FBI has continued to release age-progressed images to show what Lina may look like as she grows older. The agency has also offered a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to Lina's safe recovery or to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her disappearance. Authorities continue to stress that even seemingly minor information could prove significant to the investigation.

Anyone with information about Lina Sardar Khil's disappearance is urged to contact the San Antonio Police Department Missing Persons Unit at (210) 207-7660. Tips may also be submitted to any local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
