Glen Allen Fayard disappeared from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, on October 14, 2006. He was 53 years old and living with his elderly mother at the time. Fayard had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, and his family believed he was no longer taking his medication when he vanished. Despite his mental illness, his family said he stayed in regular contact with them, especially during holidays, making his sudden silence highly unusual. 

On the day he disappeared, a Bay St. Louis police officer reportedly gave Fayard a ride and dropped him off near a trailer on Washington Street, north of U.S. Highway 90. That was the last confirmed sighting of him. Fayard commonly walked wherever he needed to go, and because officers in the area knew him, they would occasionally give him rides or stop by to check on him. 

His family did not immediately realize he was missing because they expected him to be around the area as usual. After Thanksgiving passed without hearing from him, his sister, Amy Haygood, became convinced something was wrong. Family members organized a search of several acres surrounding his home. During the search, they located a set of keys that they believed belonged to Fayard, suggesting he had been in the area at some point after he disappeared. Law enforcement also searched nearby wooded areas several times but found no trace of him. No evidence has ever been found to explain what happened. 

Investigators have never publicly identified any suspects or persons of interest in the case, and there is no confirmed evidence indicating whether Fayard left the area voluntarily, became lost while experiencing a mental health crisis, or was the victim of foul play.
