Branson William Perry disappeared from Skidmore, Missouri, on April 11, 2001. He was 20 years old at the time and lived with his parents, Bob and Joyce Perry, at their home on County Road 5 outside of Skidmore. Branson was described by his family as a friendly young man who enjoyed working on cars, playing video games, and spending time with friends. He had recently graduated high school and was living at home while figuring out his future.

On the day he disappeared, Branson was home with a friend, Jeremy, while his parents attended a funeral. Before leaving, Branson's father asked him to bring two extension cords into the house that had been left near a well pit on the property. According to reports, Branson and his friend walked outside to retrieve the cords. When they returned, Branson told his friend that he was going to put the cords away and went back outside. He was never seen again.

A short time later, Branson's friend noticed that Branson had not returned and began looking for him. The family arrived home around 3:00 p.m. and realized something was wrong. Branson's shoes and keys were still inside the home, and his wallet, cigarettes, and vehicle remained at the residence. His personal belongings suggested that he had not planned to leave voluntarily.

Investigators found no signs of a struggle inside the home, and no confirmed evidence has ever been released showing what happened after Branson walked outside. A neighbor reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area around the time Branson disappeared, described as a small red pickup truck, but investigators were never able to confirm whether it was connected to the case.

Over the years, law enforcement followed numerous leads, including reports of possible sightings and information from people claiming to know what happened. In 2003, a person of interest named John Allen Tessier was questioned after reportedly making statements about Branson's disappearance. Tessier was never charged, and authorities have not publicly identified anyone as responsible for Branson's disappearance.

In 2007, Branson's case gained renewed attention after a man named Timothy "Tim" McCurdy reportedly told others that he knew what happened to Branson. Investigators looked into the claims, but no evidence was found that led to charges. McCurdy was later convicted on unrelated charges and died in 2019. Authorities have never confirmed his involvement in Branson's disappearance.

Branson's case was featured nationally and has remained one of Missouri's most puzzling missing person cases. More than two decades later, investigators still do not know whether Branson was the victim of foul play, an accident, or another unknown circumstance. He has never been found, and his family continues to seek answers.

Branson Perry is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He was approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds at the time of his disappearance.
